About Herkimer HA

The Herkimer Housing Authority was established in 1951 to offer safe, decent, affordable housing to low-income families, disabled individuals and Veterans, and senior citizens in the Village of Herkimer. At the present time we serve 52 families under Section 8 Housing. In addition, we have 3 apartment complexes, Mid-Town apartments, Eastern Gardens and Creekside Courts. We have 175 families housed in these 3 apartment complexes.


Mission Statement

The mission of the Herkimer Housing Authority is to be the area's affordable housing of choice. We provide and maintain cost effective, safe, quality housing. By partnering with others, we offer rental assistance and other related services to our community in a non-discriminatory manner.
